Partying our way through the alphabet...

My friend Wendy over at http://www.celebrationsofhouston.blogspot/ has started a new feature. I have posted with her permission below.

As told by Wendy
Here We Go! Today's Letter is "A" Color, Theme and Tip of the Day
Good Morning! Today's letter is: "A" Color of the day is: Amethyst. Such a pretty color to work with.

Tip of the day is: ALWAYS follow up. Following up can be the difference between landing that new customer and losing it. Follow up is also very important to make sure all the details are in order. Check your email, texts, and voice mail throughout the day. Try to respond within two hours. Also after every order you ship or event that you do --send a thank you card or email. Also a follow up phone call is good way to make sure the client was satisifed or to discuss any concerns.

Theme of the Day: Alice in WonderlandSuch a fun theme. Great for kids birthday parties because you creativity can run wild.

Image from http://ramascreen.com/new-alice-in-wonderland-artwork/SO now it is up to you. Please respond with any items or parties that you have done that reflect the color: Amethyst or Theme: Alice in WonderlandWe can't wait to see what you send in.

Tomorrow: The Letter "B" -- oh the possibilities!

The possibilities are endless for the color amethyst as well as the theme. Can't wait to see what else she has in store for us.

Thanks Wendy for allowing me to share this. Stop by and check her out http://www.celebrationsofhouston.blogspot.com/

Popular Teen Party Themes...

Being the mom of teens, allows me to have the inside scoop on what is popular and what is not. And often times, I get the what's not popular/cool response most often. That is until today, when I interviewed my oldest and was informed of the hot themes in teen parties today. Would you like to know what they are? Well if you are a party planner for the teen set {or a parent wanting to connect with your children} than of course you do. So without further ado, I will share them with you. And of course, I got permission first.

The first one is an oldie but goodie. The theme is cartoon characters such as Scooby Doo.

The second one is the ever popular Super Heros. This theme is as popular with younger children as it is with the teens.

The third one is apparel related. Go figure. As in Ed Hardy tees, cut by the famous Adam Saaks.

My friend Jeannette from http://www.jatyourservice.blogspot.com/ is working on a party for one of her VIP client's birthday. She made the awesome design above. I can't wait to see the final outcome. Feel free to check out her blog by clicking the link above.

So there you have it from the teens {male} perspective. If you want to know what is popular to a young person than ask them. Their response may just surprise you {in a good way}.
